The work was premiered on September 27, 1972 for the Celebration at the beginning of a new Ministry of Calvin Cabell Tennis as Dean and Rector of St. Mark’s Cathedral.
The work was performed subsequently at St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral in Denver under the direction of Edward D. Anderson of the Colorado State University Music Department. Dr. Robert M. Finster was Music Director and organist at the time.
